LaConQ is a research laboratory from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, in Brazil. It is also attached to the university’s institute of chemistry. The laboratory is in charge of quality control in the food industry. It works with both academic researchers in the field and company consultants.
To give the brand a fresh look, the logo has been designed to be a fluid and modular identity. From the original icon, not only LaConQ, but any other laboratory from the holding could use the identity base logic to build its own logo, but maintaining a common, homogeneous aesthetic for the whole facility.
The color palette has been updated by balancing the traditional UFRJ’s navy blue, alongside a younger and brighter blue.
This enables identity to retain its institutional feel, while bringing a new perspective to all laboratories.
